Band Merger to Proceed 17th February 2011

Greater Bendigo Brass has been in discussions with the City of Bendigo Brass Band for some time to form a new brass band to strengthen music and banding in the Bendigo area.

On Thursday 17 February 2011, Greater Bendigo Brass held a formally constituted Special Meeting to vote upon the proposed amalgamation to form a brand new band, tentatively called "City of Greater Bendigo Brass Band". This motion was passed.

As the City of Bendigo Brass Band has already passed a similar motion, the respective band committee's will continue working together to establish the new committee and to begin making all of the necessary arrangements for this exciting event to take place.

Special General Meeting - Proposed Merger 6th January 2011

Greater Bendigo Brass Inc. will be holding a Special General Meeting on Thursday 17th February 2010 at the J.B.Osborne Theatre Olympic Parade Kangaroo Flat. The meeting will begin at 7.30pm.

The only Motion to be put is: "that the Committee and players of the Greater Bendigo Brass Inc. endorse the Memorandum of Understanding to merge with the City of Bendigo Brass Band forming the City of Greater Bendigo Brass Band".

Only financial members of the band may vote and members may appoint a proxy.
